Since the Miner got nerfed almost to death, we’re searching for a new TH10+ attacking strategy that results in 3 Stars. With the recent changes regarding the Witch, she has taken over the Miners place on the scoreboard making her a viable option again. Here’s a strategy that I started using frequently and have had some good results with – it’s a mix of Bowlers and Witches.

How B*Witched Works

The central point of this strategy is building your funnel on the outside and getting your Bowlers and your Witches into the core. If you accomplish that, you have a safe 2 Star, even against maxed Town Hall 11 bases, and sometimes you can get the 3rd Star.

Now I want to show you how it works and also a variation that is good in Clan Wars.

Which Town Hall Levels does B*Witched work?

Town Hall 10 & Town Hall 11

Main Purpose Of This Attacking Strategy

Clan War, Trophy Pushing and (Gold&Elixir) Farming for TH11 (in Titan League)

Pros of B’Witched:

+ Easy (kind of mass) strategy

+ Safe 2 Star, when you know how to build a funnel, with 3 Stars possible

Cons of LavaLoon:

– Requires far upgraded troops & Heroes

– Extremely expensive in Dark Elixir

Troop Variations for B*Witched

There are two versions of this attacking strategy and the only difference is how you build your outside funnel.

The difference is small – one uses more Bowlers and the other uses Healers along with a Queen Charge / Queen Walk at the start.

I personally prefer the mass Bowlers for regular multiplayer attacks and Healers for Clan War where I can plan my Queen Walk a little better and the bases are often designed with a more enhanced outside – plus I can see replays that might show Seeking Air Mine positions on the outside.

Your army setup is:
  • 8 Witches
  • 20+ Bowlers or 12 Bowlers & 4 Healers
  • some Wall Breakers
  • Giants in the Clan Castle
  • 3 Rage Spells
  • 2 Jump Spells
  • Poison Spell

B*Witched Step by Step

Now let’s take a look at the different steps that this attack requires. The most crucial part of this strategy is not the timing of deployment, it’s that you build a wide funnel on the outside.

B’Witched attacking consists of these 3 steps:

  1. Building a funnel
  2. Send in Bowlers & Witches
  3. Use Jump & Rage Spells
Let’s have a closer look at these steps.

Step 1: Building your funnel

This is the most crucial part of the whole attack – if you do this wrong you will see your forces walk around the base and will struggle for the 1 Star.

Let me show you two bases first.

In the first case, you don’t need Healers. You can simply send in all your forces at once and then support them with spells and hero abilities.

Bases like the second one need you to clear off the structures on the outside first.

My rough rule is to clear off 25% of the outside, then you can deploy your Bowlers and Witches to that cleared area.

Step 2: Deploy your forces

This step is actually pretty easy, just deploy all of them as fast as possible next to the area you cleared off.

If there’s nothing on the outside to clean, simply deploy all troops at the entrance point in the beginning of the attack

All you now need to do is to deploy your 2 Jump Spells to make a way straight to the Town Hall and the core and support your Bowlers with the Rage Spells.

This attacking strategy is so powerful, because the Witches will provide you with a lot of Skeletons when your Bowlers are running against Walls on the inside.

The attack for the Town Hall and the core doesn’t take longer than 30 seconds, so there’s plenty of time left to clear off the base and hopefully get the 3 Stars.

Important! Try to use the Grand Wardens ability at the beginning to protect all your Bowlers and Witches at the same time.

That’s pretty much it.

Conclusion

This attacking strategy nicely fills in a gap – the high Dark Elixir costs however are not making it useful for everyone. Those of you who are short on Dark Elixir (or haven’t upgraded Bowlers and Witches) might want to use LaLoon instead.

    3. well I really recommend not to do mass witch because the risk of losing is a lot higher compared to having some bowlers along
If they walk into a bad trap placement, you might lose the whole attack - the bowlers are great because they deal heavy damage and also hit the second line structures

    4. witches too cheep at time so worth risk but mass anything a big no no now due to cannon updates at moment using a giant, valk wiz and bowler attack which is working absolutely spot on and very good resource balance

  2. Trade valks for the witches maybe? I think that is a better squad to go for the core.

    1. the thing is that valks don't last long, especially with that few tanking. So you will only pull of a close 2 Star (many 1 Star as well).
I use the version with Valks to farm when I have one Hero upgrading though.
The witches are nice because you have a steady stream of spawned troops that will give you more destruction in the end raid
